This blend of Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Gewürztraminer, and Muscat is a delightful medley of flavors. It reveals notes of ginger, white pepper, and blooming flowers, with a subtle undercurrent of green tea and mandarin. The wine is further elevated by its razor-sharp acidity, a gentle embrace of tannins from the skins, and a bounty of generous fruit with every sip. Grapes are left in contact with the skins to extract the orange colour, and oak aged for 6 months.
The Funkstille vineyard is energy neutral and carries out all work sustainably, with the use of their own fertilisers made from grape skins, manure and straw from their fields, to improve the soil structure and vitality of their vines.
This wine complements the robust flavors of roasted vegetables, and enhances the experience of Alpine cheeses like Comte or Gruyere. It even brings an elegant touch to a classic risotto bianco.
